Why Eight Thirty Seven

I haven't blogged in a long time. Throughout my years I've hosted multiple blog sites and have written about a plethora of things, but they were all tied to specific phases of my life and I've transitioned so many times that those blogs have transitioned away throughout my life too. But there's something so magnetic about the idea of blogging; the consistency, the self-reflective nature of it, the harvesting of ideas that goes along with it.

The reason why this blog is called eight thirty seven is because I've consistently been waking up without an alarm at that exact time for some reason and so for that reason. Maybe it's the peak sunrise time where the sun screams me awake in the morning. Either way, I figured that since blogging in the morning would be a good habit, why not just call the blog my wake up hour.

Since I've graduated college and moved to Boston for my year of service—and have been living with a relatively large amount of free time—I've found that I have a plethora of many and diverse interests. And they're making me so scatterbrained that I've come to find that I can't keep track nor make any significant progress on anything. So I'm hoping that Blogging will be my saving grace in keeping my head organized.
